Brand

A Story, a new Identity

AR.RIBAS Design Rebranding

The Story:

Linking Stories – 3D Collages

Before elaborating on each concept for any project, whether it’s Architecture, Interior Design, or Brand Design, finding the right story to tell is paramount. Achieving this requires establishing connections between multiple stories, as the ideal story is a culmination of various moments. In the case of creating the new AR.Ribas Design brand, it was essential to find the right connections between the realms of Arts, Fashion, and Architecture. This encompassed a range from Classical Architecture to that of the ’20s, from the drapes of medieval Madonnas to the iconic looks of John Galliano, and from Modigliani to the patterns found in African art. Numerous techniques can be employed to achieve this outcome, such as painting and digital arts. However, our preference lies in utilizing books and objects, combining them to extract meaning from the covers and hundreds of pages. It is akin to crafting a three-dimensional collage.

Creating a new brand prompts us, as creative individuals, to contemplate the following: The most valuable lesson learned over time is that in this world (almost) everything has been done and/or told. The work of a creative is guided by the fundamental principle that there is no creation without tradition; the new is an inflection on a preceding form; novelty is always a variation on the past. This principle exerts complete control over a creative’s work. As Artists of Allusion, we embody this concept in our endeavor to craft distinctive and impactful brand experiences.
